CELEBRATING PARTNERSHIPS THAT MATTER

WHAT WE'RE WORKING TOWARDS
Meaningful change happens through collaboration. Under our Celebrating Partnerships That Matter pillar, we have set 31 targets that will guide how we support communities, strengthen supplier relationships, engage our business partners and create more sustainable choices for our guests over the next 15 years.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Our supply chain is built on strong partnerships. In 2025, we achieved 100% food supplier registration on SEDEX, strengthening transparency and ethical oversight across our supplier network. We also reduced packaging impacts through initiatives such as lightweight wine bottles and reduced plastic use, while launching our Plug into a Brighter Future partnership to bring suppliers together around shared sustainability goals.
WHAT’S NEXT?
- Strengthen responsible sourcing through improved data, traceability and supplier transparency.
- Move from building foundations to delivering action through supplier audits and clearer sustainability expectations.
- Increase local sourcing and continue reducing packaging and transport impacts.
- Build long-term partnerships based on trust, shared values and resilience.

CHARITABLE GIVING
Supporting our communities is part of who we are. Through fundraising, volunteering and charitable partnerships, we aim to create a positive impact across the South West. In 2025, we announced Children’s Hospice South West as our Charity of the Year ahead of our 175th anniversary celebrations. Through our Charitable Trust, pub-led fundraising and colleague-led initiatives, we raised and donated more than £93,000 to charities and community causes focused on health, wellbeing and inclusion, while bringing colleagues together to deliver meaningful impact across the region.
WHAT’S NEXT?
- Increase the impact of our Charitable Trust across the South West.
- Better connect fundraising, volunteering and partnerships to maximise community benefit.
- Continue progressing towards our long-term goal of raising £3 million by 2040.
- Build deeper, long-term relationships with charities and causes that reflect our values and local communities.

BUSINESS PARTNERS
Our business partners play an important role in shaping the impact of our pubs and communities. Supporting them to operate sustainably is key to building long-term resilience and delivering our wider sustainability goals. last year, we laid the foundations for more sustainable business partnerships by establishing a Sustainable Partner Charter and launching our first ESG baseline survey, giving us valuable insight into partner priorities, challenges and support needs. Sustainability is now embedded within partner onboarding, supported by a practical sustainability guide, and we helped partners access carbon footprinting tools to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, cost savings and emissions reduction.
WHAT’S NEXT?
- Continue demonstrating the value sustainability can create for pubs.
- Roll out the Sustainable Partner Charter across the estate.
- Strengthen communication and support for business partners.
- Upskill Business Development Managers to better support climate action.

FOOD & DRINK OFFERING
Food and drink play an important role in supporting healthier choices and reducing environmental impact. Through our menus and drinks offer, we can help drive positive change for both people and planet. In the last 12 months, we introduced a new food strategy centred on provenance, seasonality and health, helping to shape a more sustainable food and drink offering. Alongside this, we progressed plans for carbon footprint labelling, expanded lower-alcohol and plant-based options, and embedded responsible consumption principles into product development and menu design.
WHAT’S NEXT?
- Bring our new food strategy to life across the business.
- Expand healthier and lower-impact choices across our menus.
- Use food and drink to support more sustainable everyday choices.
