Embedding Accountability - Our Governance Framework
Strong governance is essential to turning ambition into action. Sustainability at St Austell Brewery is led by our Board and Executive Team, with each of our sustainability priorities owned by a member of the Leadership Team and supported by colleagues across the business. Our Sustainability Committee brings together expertise from across functions to drive collaboration, maintain momentum and ensure accountability. By embedding sustainability into decision-making at every level, we can create lasting impact and deliver meaningful progress.
TRANSPARENCY
Transparency is central to Crafting a Brighter Future. We believe meaningful progress comes from sharing both successes and challenges openly, building trust through honest reporting rather than claiming perfection.
To strengthen consistency and credibility, we continue improving the quality of our sustainability data and reporting. In 2025, we adopted the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs (VSME) as our primary reporting framework, alongside meeting mandatory reporting requirements. This approach helps us focus on the disclosures that matter most while maintaining a practical, robust and transparent approach.
CULTURE
Culture is what turns strategy into action. We believe sustainability creates the greatest impact when it becomes part of everyday decision-making, rather than sitting with one team or function.
Through Crafting a Brighter Future, we are embedding sustainability across the business, from recruitment and onboarding to leadership conversations, training and colleague engagement. By building a shared understanding and sense of ownership, we are creating a culture where everyone can play a role in delivering meaningful change.
